Plusnet is getting into the Black Friday spirit by bunging a £75 Amazon voucher along with 12 months free broadband.
The limited-time deal sees customers who sign up between now and December 1 get an up to 17Mbps unlimited broadband service with weekend calls to UK landlines thrown in.
Normally this would cost you £9.99/month on top of £15.95/month for line rental, meaning the deal saves you £119.80 over the length of the year-long contract.
Plusnet’s CEO Andy Baker said: “At Plusnet we are known for our great value offering, and so it is a natural fit for us to release our best ever deal on the day synonymous with bargain hunting.
“We are very proud to offer our customers twelve months free broadband – and the added Amazon voucher means Plusnet customers can stock up on all the gadgets they need to make the most of their unlimited connection.”
You’ll still have to pay for the line rental, which you can do on a monthly basis (£15.95/month) or annually with the line rental saver option. Coughing up £155.88 in one go might seem steep but it’ll cover you for a year of line rental and is equivalent to paying £12.99/month instead. This will save you £35.52 in total, so you’ll have to weigh up whether or not that saving is worth it in the long run.
Plusnet’s deal beats BT’s Black Friday bundle – which drops its unlimited 17Mbps service down to £5/month – on price, but Plusnet isn’t offering any FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) services on discount for Black Friday.
The Plusnet Unlimited Fibre package is, however, currently free for six months as part of a separate deal.
Normally costing £14.99/month, the 18 month deal gives you free evening and weekend calls alongside a superfast broadband service that promises top download speeds of 38Mbps and maximum up loads of 19.5Mbps.
If you want to maximise your Amazon voucher cash-ins this weekend, British Gas is offering customers who buy a Hive smart heating system this weekend a £30 coupon to spend at the e-tailer giant’s website. Taken with the Plusnet broadband deal would see you netting a total of £105 off your Christmas shop at Amazon.
