ISP Plusnet has slashed the prices of its unlimited broadband and call packages, offering up to 16Mbps broadband for £2.75 a month for 12 months.
The deal includes Plusnet Weekends, which gives users inclusive calls to UK landlines, 0845 and 0870 number and free calls to Plusnet Phone customers at all times. The deal is normally worth £9.99,giving users savings of over £7 per month for the first twelve months.
The deal gives the option to take out line rental of £14.50 per month or if you pay a lump sum of £131.88 upfront, this falls to £10.99 per month equivalent.
Its unlimited fibre broadband and calls has been cut from £19.99 a month to £12.75 per month for the first four month and offers speeds of up to 76Mbps and unlimited monthly usage and no traffic management. It also offers upload speeds of up to 19Mbps.
If you haven’t had a VDSL modem installed, you will still need an Openreach engineer to come and install it as there is no self-install option at present.
Its unlimited broadband package is an ADSL product and the speeds of up to 16Mbps over the phone line are dependent on distance.
In Ofcom’s latest survey of ADSL and superfast broadband products, Plusnet ranked well in terms of speeds and connection quality, with Plusnet Fibre coming out on top in a number of areas ahead of BT and Virgin Media.
