Sky extends Now TV Sports pass discount until March 2015

Now TV customers can continue to pay £10.99/week for Sky Sports access – until next March.

Earlier this year, Sky slashed the cost of daily access to Sky Sports content on Now TV down from £9.99/day to £6.99/day and introduced a new weekly pass, giving customers seven days access for £10.99.

The original £9.99/day price was due to be reinstated yesterday, November 27, but the small print on Now TV’s site reveals that the above prices, still listed as ‘limited offers’, will remain in effect until March 2, 2015.

Now TV customers can get a £3/month discount on Premier League games until March next year

The sports passes give you access to all seven Sky Sports channels – Sky Sports 1-5, Sky Sports News HQ and Sky Sports F1.

Earlier in the year, Sky launched new channel Sky Sports 5, which addes UEFA Champions League coverage alongside all non-UK Euro 2016 qualifiers and live matches from top European leagues.

You can watch Sky Sports content on Now TV through a Now TV Box, Apple TV, Chromecast and Roku streamers alongside games consoles including PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One. You can also watch Now TV through most browsers, as well as through most Android and iOS devices.

Now TV can be activated on up to four devices at a time and you can watch it on two sources concurrently if you’re a fan of football, but your other half wants to catch up on the latest cricket Test match, for example.

It’s still not good news for BT YouView customers though, because although Sky Sports channels are available on YouView boxes, the company still hasn’t released rights to BT to add its channels to its YouView service, despite them all being available on Vision+ and Ofcom siding with BT on the matter.
