Sky Movies content now available through Virgin TV Anywhere Android app

Virgin TV subscribers with Android phones can now access Sky Movies content on the go thanks to an update to Virgin TV Anywhere.

The remote catch-up service means that you’ll be able to dip into Frozen, The Lego Movie and Captain America: The Winter Soldier – and Elf – on their HTC One (M8)’s and Nexus 7’s throughout the Christmas season.

Like Sky Go and Now TV, TV Anywhere doesn’t currently work with Android 5.0 Lollipop, although VIrgin Media says that a fix will be available soon.

If you watch 4Music’s Victoria’s Secret show in public, expect some odd looks

The news comes as Virgin Media adds six more channels to TV Anywhere. 4Music, CBS Action, CBS Drama, Extreme Sports, The Horror Channel and Sony SAB are now present on the 119-channel strong service.

This means that shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians (4Music) Star Trek: The Next Generation, old and new Doctor Who (Horror Channel) and Ultimate Force (CBS Action) can be viewed on the go on your phone or tablet.

Other channels available on Virgin TV Anywhere include ITV, Channel 4, including Channel 4 timeshift channels, Channel 5 and BT Sport.

4Music arrives on Virgin TV Anywhere just in time for us to tune in to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which streams exclusively on the channel on Wednesday, December 10.

We can’t say that you won’t look a little weird if you want to watch footage of Victoria’s Secret models on the train, but as Virgin TV Anywhere also lets TiVo customers set recordings remotely, you can select this show to record for you to ‘enjoy’ in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
