As well as this, fans will be able to access and drill down on a wealth of technical data about Premier League games as they unfold. In a manner similar to the Sky Sports Ashes Event Centre, touch and formation maps will be available for armchair analysts to sift through during catch-up of games.

This is the same information that experts Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher draw on for their post-match reviews. Viewers at home can mull over and repeat the finer points of a weekend’s games at their leisure, delving into a wealth of stats or simply watching repeats of games on their iPads.

As well as this, fans will be able to enjoy UEFA Champions League games from multiple camera angles on their iPad with Sky Sports 360
