Sony Entertainment TV has brought The Omen remake, Will & Grace and Hustle onto TalkTalk TV’s entertainment line-up.
Also featuring UK shows Life On Mars and The Tudors, plus US series like Hot In Cleveland and Community, SET is part of the £10/month Entertainment Boost.
It arrives alongside Sony TV Asia, which features family entertainment from south Asia, including dramas, comedies, reality shows and Bollywood blockbusters.
Tristia Harrison, executive commercial director of TalkTalk, said: “Since launching a little over a year ago, TalkTalk TV has grown from strength to strength and we’re now proud to be Britain’s fastest growing TV service.”
Kate Marsh of SPT Networks said: “This new carriage agreement with TalkTalk marks the latest expansion of Sony Entertainment Television’s audience in the UK. We look forward to bringing top SET series and features to TalkTalk customers.”
As with all of TalkTalk’s TV Boosts, the Entertainment Boost can be added to the YouView-based service on a rolling monthly basis with no annual commitment.
TalkTalk is expected to unveil further growth to its TV platform when it presents its next quarterly financial report in early February.
At the end of September 2013, TalkTalk TV had won more than half a million subscribers in its first year of operation.
The launch of the cut-price Essentials TV at that time, which combines unlimited broadband with a free non-recording YouView box, is expected to provide a further TV subscriber boost.
