TalkTalk has lopped 50 per cent off the price of its TV, broadband, calls and SIM-only package, taking it down to a tenner a month – plus line rental.
Unlike some half price deals, TalkTalk is applying this discount for the entirety of the 18 month deal. You’ll only pay £10/month on top of line rental – currently charged at £16.70/month or £180.36/year – for the duration of the contract. So, what do you get for your money exactly?
The Plus TV package includes up to 17Mbps unlimited ADSL broadband, anytime landline calls to UK numbers, a TalkTalk Mobile SIM (100 minutes, 250 texts and 200MB of data) and the Plus TV package, which includes six Sky entertainment channels.
Check out these other quad-play deals from BT, EE and Virgin MediaWhile that TalkTalk Mobile SIM doesn’t come with a terribly capacious number of minutes, you might be interested to learn that the Talk2Go service lets you make calls over WiFi, which will then come out of your anytime landline allowance.
If you’re making calls to landlines on your mobile, this could save you a fair few pennies. Since it launched, TalkTalk customers have made over 3 million minutes of calls with Talk2Go.
TalkTalk Plus TV comes with a YouView+ box which features a 350GB hard drive, which lets you record up to 200 hours of programmes in standard definition and up to and 80 hours of TV in HD. A new TalkTalk Super Router (WiFi AC, dual-band) is also included free of charge.
As a sweetener, TalkTalk is also bundling in a £100 Love2Shop voucher for folks who sign up to the new package online within the next three days.
TalkTalk does charge £50 for an engineer to come to your house and set everything up, but if you order online then you should be able to claim £50 back as credit if you select the Speedy Install option.
If you’re looking for a new bundle to cover everything and you want to save some cash, then TalkTalk’s current Plus TV prices are certainly compelling.
