TalkTalk slashes Entertainment Boost in half for Christmas

TalkTalk has cut the price of its Entertainment Boost down from £10/month to £5/month in time for Christmas.

The Boost brings an extra 29 channels to the basic TalkTalk TV line-up, including Sky 1, MTV, TLC and Comedy Central plus UKTV favourites Gold and Alibi.

You also get access to four extra catch-up services – Comedy Central, Nat Geo, Good Food and Eden On Demand – in addition to BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5. You’ll need to take phone, broadband and TV from TalkTalk in order to get this TalkTalk TV Boost, and you’ll need to be able to get as minimum download speed of 5Mbps.

The entry-level TalkTalk TV service, Essentials TV, costs £4.25/month plus £16.70/month line rental while the Plus TV deal, which comes with seven Sky channels included, costs £18.50/month plus line rental.

The deal actually sees you getting the Entertainment Boost half price for six months. One of the great things about TalkTalk’s Boosts is that they’re flexible – you can sign up for a month and then cancel as and when it suits you.

You’ll need to sign up by January 7 next year if you want to take advantage of this saving and stick around for at least one month in order to get the discount.

As TalkTalk TV is a YouView-based service, you’ll be able to access things like Connected Red Button and Netflix on your TV from next year as well.
