TalkTalk TV adds Afrikaans, Arabic and Japanese channel boosts

Al Jazeera, ART, JSTV and kykNET are just a few of the international channels now available in TalkTalk TV’s World TV boosts.

The three new channel packs start from £10 a month, with no ongoing contract, providing news and entertainment in Afrikaans, Arabic and Japanese.

The UK is home to almost a quarter of a million British Arabs, 40,000 Japanese people and over 200,000 South Africans, with the world’s largest population of expat Afrikaans-speakers.

Read Recombu Digital’s guide to TalkTalk TVTristia Harrison of TalkTalk said: “We are delighted to offer more entertainment from a further three regions as part of the diverse range of content available on YouView from TalkTalk, and to bring these popular channels to Japanese, Afrikaans and Arabic speaking viewers across the UK.”

Biggest of the bunch is the Arabic TV Boost, providing 12 channels from the Middle East covering news, entertainment, youth programming, music, movies and more.

The JSTV Boost hosts Japanese international channels JSTV and JSTV2 with a range of entertainment, sports, news and children’s TV.

The kykNET Boost provides Afrikaans entertainment from kykNET and kykNET Musiek, exclusive to TalkTalk in the UK.

TalkTalk already features the Star TV Boost for £5/month, the Asian TV Boost for £10/month with Sony TV Asia and Zee TV, and the Eros Now Indian film library for £5/month.
