Phone and tablet users of The Cloud can now get the auto-login support previously exclusive to Sky Broadband subscribers.
FastConnect for Android and iOS now lets users register their The Cloud account details for up to two devices, and they’ll automatically be logged in when they come into range of a hotspot.
Read Recombu Digital’s guide to The CloudThe automatic connection function was previously available only to Sky Broadband subscribers, who have their own app – Sky The Cloud.
The app also lets users find The Cloud’s UK WiFi hotspots nearby using GPS and Google Maps.
Unfortunately, the upgraded app isn’t available to older iOS and Android users – it will only work on iOS 4.3 and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) or above.
Access to The Cloud is free to Sky Broadband Unlimited subscribers, and with Phones4u and iPass, and usually free for a limited period to everyone else.
