BT Vision gets most moans by miles, promises to do better

BT has promised to improve its TV service after attracting six times the industry average rate of customer complaints.

Ofcom said it receives 23 complaints about BT Vision per 100,000 customers, compared to an average of four per 100,000 across BT, Sky and Virgin Media.

It’s BT Vision’s seventh consecutive quarter in the customer complaints league since media regulator Ofcom started counting at the start of 2011.

BT’s problems were partly due to problems with service provision, and the telecoms operator said: “We are continuing to focus on delivering a high quality service to every customer and are disappointed whenever we let a customer down.

“During the next quarter we will be introducing changes aimed at ‘Making it Easy’ for our customers and are confident this will have a positive impact in reducing complaints across all product areas.”

Virgin Media was slightly above the industry average at six complaints per 100,000 customers, while Sky had just two per 100,000.
