Redesigned Sky+ homepage puts new features at your fingertips

The latest update to the Sky+HD box brings a redesigned interface with a more convenient layout and some new functionality to the table.

The update, which rolls out between now and the end of August is designed to better cater to the latest viewing habits, with trends in on-demand viewing affecting how the new interface prioritises discovery, streaming and downloading of series and box sets.

The homepage now plays host to an editorial Top Picks section, which features recommendations from channels like Sky Atlantic and Fox as well as suggestions from box sets, sports highlights, kids’ favourites and movies – depending on the users’ subscription choices.

Sky+ Continue tab new feature

New interface features include a repositioned search bar, that now sits at the top of the Sky+ page for added convenience, as well as tweaks to the planner, including progress bars so you can see how much of a particular show has already been seen, alongside the new Continue tab which lets users quickly pick up from where they last left off in an episode or series.

Download Next is another new feature that starts downloading the next episode in a series before you’ve finished watching the current one, so you don’t have to wait to find out what happens next.
