US TV show cancellations spell changes for UK schedules

CSI:NY, 30 Rock and Fringe are among the causalities in the fall out form the latest round television show cancellations in the US.

The changes mean that UK broadcasters will have to find new shows to fill airtime later this year from the latest crop of pilots to be picked up by US networks – usually announced in the next few weeks.

Among the shows that won’t be back next year are The New Normal, Smash, The Office, Happy Endings, Don’t Trust the B___ in Apartment 23, 90210 and Southland.

US shows that have been renewed for another season are Parks and Recreation, Suburgatory, How I Met Your Mother and Family Guy.

Cancellations have affected Comedy Central, E4, ITV2 and Sky 1 the most. Below is the list of canned US shows and the UK TV channels that currently broadcast them.
