Opera, the slimline browser favoured for low-power PCs and portables, demonstrates its latest web browser for TVs this week.
Opera is already used on Philips NetTV sets and in Sony Bravia TVs and Blu-rar players, and the latest Opera TV browser is optimised for devices based on Android and Linux.
The new browser can also access the Opera Web Store to download apps which run through the browser, using HTML5 and supporting features like WebGL for better graphics.
Recombu Digital will be talking to Opera at this week’s IPTV World Forum, one of the world’s biggest events for smart TV.
