Vimeo launches unlimited HD streaming on Smart TVs and mobile

Vimeo has relaunched its on-demand service, allowing customers unlimited playback of HD videos on connected TVs and mobile apps.

Wherever Vimeo Pro member’s films appear online, no matter if it’s a TV or mobile app or the website, customers can benefit from limitless playback of titles.

The revamped Vimeo Pro service also gives film makers and directors 1TB of storage to make use of every year, which should increase the number of titles available to customers.

All Vimeo PRO members will continue to receive commercial-free HD playback as standard.

President Dae Mellencamp says that Vimeo’s unlimited HD streams are unparalleled and will appeal to directors and creatives as well as consumers. “In speaking with creative professionals and small businesses, we heard they are in search of an easy-to-use platform that’s straightforward and affordable, but which doesn’t sacrifice quality.”

CEO, Kerry Trainor adds “The new Pro upgrades offer members our highest class of service yet, enabling them to showcase, share, and earn revenue from their content in a beautiful environment. Vimeo is committed to empowering video creators of all levels with high-quality tools to reach their audiences.”
