Virgin Media has announced a new addition to its channel line up, rock and pop documentary channel Vintage TV.
Previously only available to Sky and Freesat viewers, Vintage TV is the so-called ‘Soundtrack to the 20th Century,’ serving up hits from decades gone by. It’s a retrogasmic blend of pop videos and documentaries but with an added community edge. Viewers can send in requests a la Scuzz TV and send in their own creations for songs that pre-date the video era.
Speaking of uploading your own music video creations, Virgin Media recently launched a YouTube channel for TiVo customers. Admittedly less of a channel in a usual sense – and more of a portal to a YouTube TV app – it’s nonetheless another way for any budding Spike Jonzes or Floria Sigismondis out there to showcase their work…
David Pick, founder and CEO Vintage Entertainment Limited said: “Vintage TV fulfils the appetite of the UK’s music lovers for the very best content – music that stands the test of time! We’re absolutely delighted to be making our channel available for Virgin Media customers.”
Vintage TV is available to view now on channel 343 and is available on all Virgin Media packages. Sky and Freesat viewers can tune in on channels 369 and 515 respectively.
