Virgin Media WiFi is now live at 137 London Underground WiFi stations.
The ultrafast cable ISP has installed WiFi equipment at six new stations – East Putney, Golders Green, Kilburn, Parsons Green, Southgate, West Kensington – letting commuters keep up to date with travel information, check Twitter or sync Spotify playlists while they’re waiting for their train.
Access to Virgin Media’s subterranean wireless network is free if you’re with EE, O2, Vodafone or you’re a Virgin Media customer. Three customers who want to get on board will need to fork out for a daily, weekly, or monthly pass.
Passes are priced at £2.00/day, £5.00/week of £15.00/month. Virgin Media is also currently offering 2 months access for £15.00, which works at 25p a day when broken down over 60 days.
Over 800,000 devices are currently registered to Virgin Media’s WiFi on London Underground service, which was launched ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games. An average of one million emails, web pages, Tweets and Facebook posts are sent underground every weekday.

Virgin Media last expanded its WiFi network back in February and plans to add more stations by the end of the Summer.
