Got two left feet? Swap them for funky feet with the latest app for Virgin TiVo: Living The Dream.
The interactive dance app sits alongside BBC iPlayer, Spotify, Twitter, YouTube and more in the app section of Virgin’s TiVo digital video recorder.
It’s been inspired by Living The Dream, a performing arts school, dance company, and fashion brand developed under the Virgin Media Pioneers community for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Zoe Jackson, managing director of Living The Dream said, “We’re really excited about our very first foray into TV and creating an app for TiVo.
“As well as providing great entertainment, this is a great way to get more people off the sofa and dancing in their living rooms, whether they’re keen dancers or simply looking for a way to keep fit, there’s something for everyone.”
Living The Dream has been designed for viewers who love to dance, featuring stars of the dance scene including Flawless, Chris and Wes, Abyss, Boy Blue, Alleviate, Unity UK and Masters of Motion.
Users can practise their moves and learn new shapes through on-demand dance classes covering styles from street dance to hip hop.
There are also interviews with some of the dancing world’s finest choreographers and leading dancers, plus behind the scenes footage from popular reality dance shows, west end productions, premieres and worldwide dance competitions.
Aleks Habdank, director of digital entertainment at Virgin Media, said: “We’re extremely proud of the success of our Virgin Media Pioneers community and it’s been a pleasure working with Zoe to develop this app.
“The flexibility of our TiVo service allows us to champion the creative industries, giving them the platform to reach hundreds of thousands of living rooms across the UK, providing new interactive services and bespoke content through apps allows us to cater for all of our customers’ telly tastes.”
