The Virgin TV Anywhere app has been updated and is now available on the Google Nexus 5 device and supported Android devices running 4.4 KitKat.
In addition, popular children’s channel, CITV, has been added to Virgin TV Anywhere’s content line-up.
The cable comapny claimed that Virgin TV Anywhere offers more live channels than Sky Go, with 91 available online and 68 to watch on mobile and tablets.
40 of these channels are not available on Sky Go, including CITV, ITV, Channel 5, CBS Reality and many more, some of which were added last November.
The app provides around 2,500 hours of content from the UK’s biggest on demand library for customers to watch on a computer. Virgin TV Anywhere is looking to bring even more channels to mobile and tablet devices in the future.
The desktop edition of Virgin TV Anywhere is available free to all Virgin TV customers, but only TiVo customers can get access to the service on selected Android and iOS devices. The mobile version of the app only works over WiFi. Virgin TV Anywhere is only available in the UK.
The entertainment-anywhere service also gives customers the ability to remotely manage their TiVo set-top box, including scheduling and deleting recordings in real time.
