Vodafone dangles a year of free Netflix with its superfast broadband bundles

Vodafone is offering 12 months of free Netflix (chill not included) to folks who sign up for its new broadband and home phone bundles.

The promo has been launched to celebrate the near-nationwide availability of Vodafone’s new up to 76Mbps Connect broadband services and entice customers away from competitively priced bundle deals from the likes of Sky, TalkTalk and BT.

To make the transition even easier, Vodafone’s Easy Switching service promises to take the hassle out of moving from one ISP to another. As part of the deal, Vodafone promises to coordinate all of the switching once the service has been ordered.

Vodafone Connect soft-launched back in July and was initially only available to customers in parts of Manchester, Surrey and Berkshire before a wider, near-nationwide launch. As of today, Vodafone’s services are available in around 22 million premises. Openreach currently passes over 29 million premises in total.

As well as entering the market with some pretty competitive prices and nice discounts for Vodafone mobile customers, another selling point for Vodafone Connect is the supplied WiFi ac router which can be easily configured and controlled from an iOS or Android app. You can see both the app and the router in action on our hands-on video here

Cindy Rose, Vodafone UK’s consumer director said: “We are delighted that we are now able to bring our innovative new home broadband service to people across the UK, allowing them to share in the great experience many of our existing customers are already enjoying.

“Our customers are loving the fact that they can control their home broadband from their smartphones and tablets. With the introduction of Vodafone home broadband combined with our ultrafast 4G, Vodafone is now well positioned to satisfy all of our customers’ connectivity needs, both at home and on the go.”

Vodafone Connect starts at £5/month (plus £16.99/month for standard line rental) for an unlimited ADSL service and £20/month plus line rental for an unlimited up to 76Mbps FTTC product. All contracts are 18 months long.
