Acer’s multi-OS Leap+ smartband is a bargain wearable

Acer just launched its new Liquid Leap+ smartband at MWC 2015, a highly affordable wearable that works with Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

Most smartwatches and wearables tend to be priced well over £100, but Acer’s new Liquid Leap+ smartband will cost you just €79 (around £69) when it hits the UK in March. And best of all, anyone can get on board, as the Liquid Leap+ supports iOS, Android and even Windows Phone (including Acer’s first Windows Phone handset, the M220).

The tiny one-inch OLED touchscreen is your main method of control, as the Liquid Leap+ shuns buttons entirely. You get all of the functionality you’d expect, including notification support, media controls, calorie tracking, alarms and so on.

Your Liquid Leap+ can be customised with one of three different rubber straps: Mineral Black, Electric Green and the delicious-sounding Fragrant Pink. The body of the watch actually snaps right out of the strap so you can change colour whenever you like, and with full water-resistance you don’t have to worry if it gets splashed.

We’ll be bringing you a full hands-on review of the Liquid Leap+ very soon, live from MWC 2015.
