Acer’s A510/A511 Tegra 3-powered Android tablets decloak: Wi-Fi only and 3G versions

Not long after the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime goes official, we hear about Acer’s next-generation tablet effort(s) in the shape of the forthcoming A510 and A511. As was the case with the Iconia A500 and A501 tabs (pictured), the A510 and A511 are thought to be Wi-Fi only and 3G + Wi-Fi versions respectively.

The new Acer tabs look to match the Transformer Prime in the resolution (1280 x 800) and processor departments (Nvidia Tegra 3); no semblance of a detachable keyboard though.

A pair of user agent profiles unearthed by Japanese site Blog of Mobile seem to confirm these two specs, but not much else besides that there aren’t any softkeys on the tablets. Not a shocker really; there weren’t any on the Acer A500/501’s and both Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich effectively do away with the need for them.

Nothing much else to go on sadly, but it’s something else for us to look forwards to. If these babies don’t get officially announced by Acer before Christmas we’re very much expecting appearances at CES and MWC in 2012.
