Adobe Photoshop Touch now available for the iPad 2

Think the iPad is just a content consumption device? Think again. Adobe just dropped us a line to let us know that Photoshop Touch is available right now on the App Store.

The app will allow you to import photos from your camera roll, as well as Facebook and Google Images. The interface is fully optimized for touch support, and brings many of the standard Photoshop functions, such as layers, filters, adjustments, and a modified Scribble Selection tool. Once you’re done creating your masterpiece, you’ll be able to share it to various social networks right from within the app.

The rub? You’ll need an iPad 2 running iOS 5. Sorry, original iPad owners, maybe it’s time to upgrade. There’s also a maximum image size limit of 1600×1600.

Photoshop Touch costs £6.99, which will include Adobe’s other Touch Apps which will be available at a later date. If you want to get some Photoshop action on right now, head on over to the App Store.
