Adobe responds to battery drain claims with new demos, charged phones

Yesterday we wrote up a story about a Flash 10.1 demo video, filmed by an Adobe engineer, which showed Nexus One’s battery draining rather quickly. As we pointed out, the rapid power drain could have been caused by several factors but we found it funny that all the demo phones had very little battery left on them. To make sure that there’s absolutely no confusion surrounding the subject though, the Adobe engineer responsible for the first video has filmed another one (below) – with a charged handset this time. According to his new video, the Nexus One played a Flash video for 26 minutes and that drained 10% of the battery, then he played a Flash-based game for 12 minutes and that drained 4% of the battery.
