Amazon Kindle Fire HDX family gets a price cut for Black Friday

Amazon is looking to kick its Black Friday Deals Week off in style, with huge reductions on its Kindle Fire HDX range.

It’s that time of the year again; the one where bargains are foisted upon us in preparation for the holidays, and Amazon has taken it upon itself to launch this year’s Black Friday deals week with significant savings on its own Kindle Fire HDX tablet range.

For a limited time you can pick up Amazon’s basic 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX with 16GB of storage and WiFi only for just £99, which represents a saving of £100.

In fact, for the regular price of the basic model, £179, you can currently grab the 64GB Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch, with 3G/4G and WiFi, which would ordinarily cost you a princely £329!

The Kindle Fire HDX was launched last October and quickly received high acclaim for its powerful running gear, which includes a Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB RAM, lustrous screen, solid build quality and Luddite-embracing Mayday support service, which allows users to connect to actual people for tech support 24/7.

There are a few caveats with the device, such as the lack of Google Play Store support and custom Android OS – which amounts to being immersed in Amazon’s ecosystem constantly, but for browsing the web, reading and making the most out of your Amazon Prime membership, which offers limitless streaming, the device is quite superb, and with £100 off it’s quite hard to ignore.

The other offers on the device are as follows:

  • Kindle Fire HDX 7” 16GB Wi-Fi: Just £99
  • Kindle Fire HDX 7” 16GB Wi-Fi+4G/3G: Just £119
  • Kindle Fire HDX 7” 32GB Wi-Fi: Just £129
  • Kindle Fire HDX 7” 32GB Wi-Fi+4G/3G: Just £149
  • Kindle Fire HDX 7” 64GB Wi-Fi: Just £159
  • Kindle Fire HDX 7” 64GB Wi-Fi+4G/3G: Just £179
