There are still a select few people out there who retain faith in Nokia’s smartphones and rush to purchase the latest the company has to offer. But for these few and far between it is difficult to ignore the app-jealousy that the iPhone and Android has undoubtedly created.
Thanks however to Myriad and their ‘Alien Dalvik’ those keen Nokia owners may no longer have to wait for a decent app store. The clever wrapper for Android applications will allow them to run on non-Android powered devices.
It “enables the majority of Android applications to run unmodified” and without any change in performance. Alien Dalvik is planned to be released on MeeGo devices later on this year. Check the video below of it running on an N900.
Myriad should have more to say on Alien Dalvik at this years MWC.
