Google’s always one to brag, and today is no exception; Andy Rubin has tweeted that there are now 300,000 Android phones activated each day.
Back in August this year, Google revealed that 200,000 Android handsets were being sold daily. Fast-forward four months, and that number has gone up by 100,000 handsets a day.
Good going for the Google’s OS; the sheer volume of devices now available running the Android OS means that it is fast catching up, if not overtaking, Apple’s iOS.
All well and good, but let’s see a bit less self-congratulation, a bit more work on getting Android 2.3 out to the masses, shall we?
