Angry Birds coming to Samsung Smart TV sets

At Samsung press conference at CES the company announced everyone’s favourite pig-squashing birds will be coming to its range of Smart TV sets.

Yes that’s right, Angry Birds will be coming to Samsung TVs later this year and it’s not just the game, but it will get it’s own channel, which will be available on 2010, 2011, 2012 Smart TVs

During the conference Samsung reiterated its commitment to Smart TV, referring to three philosophies: Smart Interaction, Smart Content and Smart Evolution. As such, Samsung is also launching some new Signature Services for Smart TV, with some interesting cross-platform compatibility.

Family Story lets family members upload pictures, videos and memos from a phone or tablet to watch on TV and access it on other Samsung devices.. Fitness enables users to track their progress by connect their Samsung smartphone to their Smart TV using an app and it can be used to monitor weight loss in conjunction with a Withings WiFi scale.

Samsung confirmed it would be continuing to work with Google. Details are scant, in a press release Samsung stated: ‘By combining the strengths and experiences of each company, a forthcoming offering will deliver an entirely distinct experience in the category.’ We’ll bring you more news as soon as we get it.
