Artfully smashed phones is the latest hipster craze

You can now pay a high street store, Avant Garde Mashups, to bend, smash, kick in and toilet dunk your mobile phone, turning it from functioning tech into a modern masterpiece.

Located in the Shoreditch region of London, new start-up Avant Garde Mashups hopes to win over hipsters with its unique phone service. For a small charge, chief artist Miguel (no known surname) will redesign your smartphone to give it a personal look and feel, using his very special paintbrushes: a hammer and a screwdriver.

Miguel aims to replicate the feeling of hatred people experience when they accidentally smash up their handset, with non of the self pity. And by basing each design on the phone’s owner, Avant Garde Mashups ensures that no two battered blowers are the same.

The extensive menu offers a range of treatments depending on your personal preferences. You can opt for the cheap option of a standard drop, which starts at just £30, or bag yourself a more premium design by upgrading to a dog chew or a toilet dunk. You can even request that your trusty mobile is poked into celebrity excrement, for an off-the-menu experience.

Check out Avant Garde Mashups, and why not couple it with a trip to that cafe that sells cereal for a tenner for a fun-packed family day out.
