Asus has released a video for its Asus MeMO Pad Smart 10” an affordable 10.1-inch tablet with a quad-core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Available in black, white and pink the Asus MeMO Pad Smart 10” is the first 10-inch tablet in the MeMo Pad range following the 7-inch MeMo Pad announed at CES. It has a 10.1-inch screen with an HD resolution of 1280×800 and IPS technology, inside there an NVIDIA quad-core Tegra 3 processor.
The tablet has dual 25x12mm stereo speakers, which work with SonicMaster Audio Technology to produce high-quality sound, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto focus and Asus SuperNote is a on-board note-taking and drawing. Asus WebStorage provides cloud storage space for uploading, syncing and sharing files.
With a US dollar price of $299 it looks like Asus is aiming of the mid-tier tablet market. Asus will be at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, where we’re hoping to get some hands-on photos, in the mean time whet your appetite by checking out the video below (via Engadget).

Where does it sit in Asus’s tablet line-up?
Looking at the specifications the tablet looks fairly mid-range, taking on the Google Nexus 7 and Google Nexus 10. We’re expecting Asus to launch a new Transformer at some point incorporating the Tegra 4 chip.

Asus has confirmed a price of $299, which equates to around £196 – although it’s possible the tablet will cost more in the UK.
