Asus has released a video showing more information about the Asus Padfone, a device that tackles the smartphone, tablet and netbook market head-on! Unsurprisingly there has been a fair amount of interest about this unique device and to help keep the chatter going, the Taiwanese company has released an new video showcasing its standout features.
The Asus Padfone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Processor. The smartphone has a decent sized 4.3inch Super AMOLED qHD display with Scratch Resistant Glass for added protection. Plus an impressive 8MP camera with 5-element lens and F2.2 aperture.
If you’re not familiar with the Padfone it’s a smartphone that docks into the back of a tablet to power it. The video highlights the seemingly ease of transition between the smartphone and tablet, with an auto adjusted layout.
When it comes to the tablet, battery life is impressive, from 16hrs on the smartphone to 63hrs in tablet-mode and extends even further to 102hrs when docked with the keyboard.
The Tablet also has (iPad Smart cover-like), Smart Sleeve on offer with SIM card slot, cleaning cloth and a holder for the Stylus headset. The stylus headset allows you to take calls when you are in tablet-mode and also doubles up as a pen to write and draw with.
The Padfone has been slightly delayed from its April launch date, but we will of course keep you updated on when you can get your mitts on one. Until then you can check out the full video from the Asus YouTube page below. In the meantime check out our Asus Transformer Pad TF300 review.
