Asus’s latest Transformer Pad will retail for £430 on October 21st

Asus upgraded the Transformer Infinity to include a higher-resolution display along with Nvidia’s Tegra 4 SoC, but when will it be released? Pretty soon, as it turns out. The company has announced that the slate will be released here in the UK on October 21st for £430.

It’s cheaper than last year’s model, then, but still not priced as favourably as the Nexus 10. Having said that, Nvidia’s silicon should be faster than the dual-core Exynos 5 chip found in Google and Samsung’s device.

Other specifications for the Transformer Pad TF701T include a 10.1-inch 2560×1600 IGZO display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 5-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video. The keyboard dock has also seen a slight upgrade too, with the latest iteration including a USB 3.0 port. Asus says that the tablet itself should get up to 13 hours of battery life, with the keyboard dock extended that figure by another 4 hours.
