Asus Transformer Pad Infinity launching in the US in July

Asus has been busy this year fleshing out its lineup of Transformer tablets. With a number of Android-based Transformers arriving at both CES and MWC at the start of the year and more recently the addition of some interesting Windows RT/Windows 8 Tranformers following Computex in Taipei. Now US consumers will have a taste of the Transformer Pad Infinity within the next few weeks.

Endgadget spotted that BestBuy quotes an arrival date of July 16th and includes the first video ad on the product. Launching in Champagne White, the 32GB model will retail for $499 (£320) and $599 (£385) for the 64GB version, bearing in mind these prices are tablet-only. Asus typically offers multiple retail variations of its Transformer products, not always complete with the compatible keyboard dock, which will ring in at around $149 (£95) on top.

The TF700 is the latest in the ongoing line of Android Ice Cream Sandwich savvy Transformer tablets. Naturally it sports a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor much like its Prime and 300 Series counterparts and Asus offers a compatible laptop docking station with which it can integrate. The Infinity is also the largest Android-based Transformer, matching the older Prime, save for a few notable alterations.

The Prime and the Infinity both share quad core chipsets and 10.1-inch displays, but the Infinity offers consumers an amazing WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS+ display, which renders it both amazingly clear and impressively bright.

The last products to the part are the long-awaited Asus PadFone and the newly revealed Windows-based Transformers including the likes of the TaiChi.
