Blackberry Bold 9900: What’s in the box?

After months of waiting, RIM finally announced it’s new range of Bold handsets last week. The first to hit the UK is the Bold 9900, which has been confirmed to arrive on Vodafone and Three so far.

The Bold 9900 finally arrived at Recombu towers this morning, so before we you our full review, here’s a quick look at what you get out of the box.

The Bold 9900 is the first smartphone running Blackberry OS 7, the latest version of RIM’s operating system. It may also be the last Bold running this, following news that the company will be launching its first QNX earlier this year – check out the first picture here.

Pick it up and it’s clear this is the best-looking Bold to date. It’s just 10.5 mm deep, making it very slim and the combination of brushed stainless steel trim and black looks premium and feels lovely to hold.

The Bold 9900 is powered by a 1Ghz processor, with 768MB RAM, it’s the fastest Bold we’ve seen and from our hands-on time, it certaingly feels very quick.

One of the most notable features of OS 7 is Liquid Graphics, designed to ensure the touchscreen is responsive and the graphics are smooth, certainly it seems very fluid to use, with very bright colours appear bright and detail on the 2.8-inch screen

We’ll bring you a full review as soon as possible, but check out our hands-on pictures below.
