BlackBerry Music: free for six months

You know Christmas is getting closer, when manufacturers begin to get more generous with their freebies. BlackBerry customers in the UK can now get the first six months of BlackBerry Music for free.

BlackBerry Music normally costs £4.99 a month, now new customers will get six months free and anyone who has already downloaded the app will have their subscription extended to four months.

BlackBerry music is RIM’s new music-service for BlackBerry handsets. Select 50 tracks a month, which you too offline and organise into playlists, which you can share with friends and listen too with friends. Each month you can swap 25, enabling you to discover new music.

What makes BlackBerry Music different to other services is the ability to share  your tracks with friends, the more people you share with, the bigger your music library becomes. Share with two friends and your music library jumps from 50 – 150 tracks.

Millions of songs are available to download, from all the major labels, including: EMI, Universal Music, Sony Music Entertainment and Warner.

BlackBerry Music is available to all phones running BlackBerry OS5 and higher and BBM 6.0 higher,  This includes handsets like the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Curve 9380. To access the offer you need to download the app before January 4th 2011.
