Still interested in a BlackBerry PlayBook? iPad 2 not doing it? Not tempted by the Xoom? Then right click and new tab the link below. Carphone Warehouse has just put up a page where you can register your interest for a PlayBook.
Absolutely no word on prices, delivery dates or availability yet; it’s simply a registration page asking you to fill in the usual details.
It does look like Carphone Warehouse will be selling the PlayBook in all 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flavours though. Unlike the iPad 2 and Xoom, the Playbook is a strictly Wi-Fi-only deal – no Wi-Fi + 3G variations.
We asked Carphone Warehouse for some further info on this and they’ve got nothing to add as of yet.
The price of the PlayBook, on sale now in the US, measures up at $499 – the same as a Wi-Fi-only 16GB iPad 2 does across the pond. Earlier in the year it was revealed that RIM would price match the PlayBook with the iPad 2, which appears to be the case in the States.
We also spoke to RIM asking if the pricing of the Playbook here would be the same as the iPad 2, but RIM declined to comment.
Costs for the Wi-Fi-only iPad 2’s work out at £399, £479 and £559 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB editions over here.
