BlackBerry PlayBook price £169 again at Carphone Warehouse

The dual-core BlackBerry PlayBook, now upgradeable to PlayBook OS 2.0, can once again be had for the low low price of £169 at Carphone Warehouse.

£199 will get you a 32GB version and if you want the full fat 64GB version then that’s a handsome £249. The dual-core, QNX-powered BlackBerry PlayBook now benefits from a unified email inbox and, with BlackBerry Bridge 2.0, you can now use the touchscreen of a BlackBerry 7 phone such as the BlackBerry Bold 9900 as a trackpad and the Qwerty keypad as a wireless keyboard for the PlayBook.

As well as falling back to low one-off prices for the BlackBerry PlayBook, Carphone Warehouse is also bundling the BlackBerry tablet free with BlackBerry phones; the BlackBerry Curve 9300 and the BlackBerry Curve 9360.

The 16GB PlayBook can be had free with the BlackBerry Curve 9300 from £26 a month and the BlackBerry Curve 9360 for £31 a month.

The 32GB PlayBook can be had free with the Curve 9300 and Curve 9360 for £31 and £36 a month respectively.

Those after a 64GB BlackBerry PlayBook with a phone bundled in can get a Curve 9300 of a Curve 9360 for £36 or £41 a month.

Of the two phones its easily the BlackBerry Curve 9360 that’s the more desirable. Though it doesn’t feature a touchscreen it does run on BlackBerry OS 7 which means you ought to be able to use it as a keyboard with your PlayBook.
