Those of you thinking about picking up the BlackBerry Torch 9860 might be interested to know that it’s popped up on Vodafone’s Coming Soon page, where you can register for updates.
No info at all regarding price, eta, contract length or any of that, just a page detailing a little of what we already know – 3.7-inch capacitive screen, 1.2 GHz processor, 11.5mm thin, BlackBerry OS 7 – and the contact form.
Phones like the current Torch 9800 are going free from £36 right now, with Blackberry Internet Service included along with 500MB of data on a 24 month plan. So we’d guess that the Torch 9860 would be somewhere around this price area.
We heard a couple of days ago that Vodafone would be selling the Torch 9860, so it’s not exactly a surprise to see this page appear.
All the same we’re excited about the Torch 9860. It’s the first full touchscreen BlackBerry since the frankly disappointing Storm phones. We’re looking forwards to seeing if the 9860 can rekindle the spark or fizzle out.
