Busmapper London gets Android version: Navigate London fearlessly

The simplest Bus Navi app yet has arrived on Android smartphones. A must-have for anyone attempting to navigate the confusing bus layout of London, we raved about the iPhone version earlier this year.

When you first launch the app, you’ll be asked fopr your home location; tap on that and you’ve sorted.

It uses Transport for London’s own map data for routes and will typically give you several different route options, alongside estimates of walking and bus travel-time, again calculated from TfL’s figures. Busmapper runs on phone running Android 2.1 and higher.

You can give the idea behind the app a go online at BusMapper.co.uk. That’s free, but doesn’t really work too well on smaller phone-screens. The app costs £1.49, and is available in the Android Market now.
