You may think that tablets have always been synonymous Christmas, and for some popping pills really is the only way they can manage to face the whole festive season with the family, but according to Currys and PC World, prescription painkillers will play second fiddle to techie tabs this year as anticipated tablet PCs sales hit the one million mark…
The Dixons-owned duo of high-tech product peddlers reckon that Brits will be breaking records and the bank this spending season, with the new iPad Air and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in particular expected to prove popular with the punters, thanks in no small part to the high-tech hawkers’ Christmas cashback deal.
Available until December 4th, the very limited-time-only offer will put as much as £50 worth of cash back into the pocket of anyone who purchases an iPad, Android tablet, Amazon Kindle Fire or Chromebook laptop online or in-store at any of their mobile-tech market stalls, but exactly how much they’ll hand you depends on what you pay. For example, spend up to £130 and you’ll receive a crisp tenner, up your outlay to £200 and they’ll double that to £20, £300 rakes back £30, and over £300 wins you the grand prize of 50 notes of hard-earned returned. Provided we’re not talking about an iPad.
Refusing to play nice with the others as usual, Apple products come under a different cashback regime where £300 is worth £20, £300-500 equals £30, and anything over a monkey (as that sound-of-Bow-Bells bloke down the boozer would call it) sees the whole 50 in folding money flung back at you. Instant gratification!
Or not, as cashback can only be claimed three week after purchase. But if you wait until the end of the offer that’s an extra present on Christmas Day itself!
