Then we take a little trip over to the Clove blog and what do we see? A post from the Bournemouth-based e-tailer saying that it’ll be stocking both the Motorola Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition for £325 and £299 respectively.
Both these prices include VAT as well and are curiously listed at “Motorola Xoom 2 (WiFi)” and “Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition (WiFi)”.
Note the ‘Wi-Fi’ in brackets – a suggestion perhaps that there’s Wi-Fi and 3G versions in the pipeline, or just a clarification that these are Wi-Fi only? Motorola said that there weren’t plans for 3G and Wi-Fi versions of these Android 3.2 tablets, at least not yet. This could change though and we did spot what looks a lot like a micro SIM slot in this Xoom 2 Media Edition.
Clove says that it’ll have the Xoom 2’s “up on our site for pre-order very soon!” but has no concrete due date, other than by end of the month.
