UK magazine firm Dennis Publishing was ahead of the curve when it launched Monkey magazine back in 2006 – it was a digital-only men’s mag long before iPad was a dollar-sign in the magazine industry’s eye.
Now Monkey has made the leap to Apple’s tablet, with a free app offering a mixture of videos, fashion, sports, travel, games, music, movies and features. Yes, and models. That kinda goes without saying.
The current issue includes features of model Erin Nass, a piece on footballers who made their debuts in 1994, paintings by serial killer John Wayne Gacy, and a bunch of reviews and fashion tips.
Dennis isn’t having to fret about pricing questions on iPad as much as rival mags, since Monkey is free already in its online incarnation.
