Console music game DJ Hero has made the leap to mobile, starting with BlackBerry. The game has gone live on RIM’s BlackBerry App World store.
It promises to let players “test your skillz on the ones and twos”, with 13 full-length mixes of songs by the likes of The Jackson Five and Third Eye Blind, Marvin Gaye and David Bowie, and Weezer and Dilated Peoples.
The game involves controlling a virtual turntable, hitting buttons in time to musical notes, while scratching and cross-fading to the beat for extra points.
We’re guessing the game will be released on other smartphones soon, although its original publisher Activision may be holding the iPhone rights for itself, as it did for Guitar Hero.
