Special ‘Enhanced Editions’ of all seven Harry Potter books have just hit iTunes, to download for your iPhone or iPad.
Apple’s iBooks Store is the exclusive seller of these seven new souped-up Harry Potter tomes, from The Philosopher’s Stone right through to The Deathly Hallows. The books can be downloaded individually and feature JK Rowling’s original text as well as interactive elements such as animations and all-new artwork. Rowling has also contributed personal annotations to each of the books, as a kind of behind-the-scenes special bonus feature.
“I’m thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realised on iBooks for the digital world; the artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way,” the author said.
The Harry Potter Enhanced Editions will be available from today on iTunes for £6.99 each, in 32 countries. Currenty the Enhanced Editions can only be bagged in English but you can pre-order the French, German and Spanish versions, which will be available on November 9th in 18 additional countries.
