Finland’s favourite phone in 2009 wasn’t a smartphone, it was the 2760

Aalto University in Finland (aka Nokia’s homeland) did a study last year which showed that over 90% of people in Finland own a Nokia phone – no shock there right? But what’s interesting is that the most popular Nokia phone last year wasn’t the N96 or even the 6300, it was the very basic Nokia 2760 (pictured right).

According to digitoday, Aalto University’s research was based on data from Finnish networks TeliaSonera, Elisa, and DNA, and it was not based on sales figures but instead looked at “actual use of mobile phones in Finland.” Another interesting fact is that Finland’s second most popular mobile phone brand is Samsung.
