FLUD news-reader app jumps from iPad to iPhone

On iPad, FLUD is one of the new breed of news-reader apps that aim to make RSS sexy and tactile – others include Pulse and Apollo. Now it’s been launched for iPhone: FLUD Mobile.

The app promises a “modern, beautiful and personalized news ecosystem”, letting you choose up to 25 feeds and then swipe through them on your iPhone or iPod touch.

An offline feature lets you read the news when on a plane or tube, and you can mark articles as ‘loved’, which then filters back into FLUD’s system to influence what other people using the app are reading. The app also supports full web browsing and video, as well as Facebook and Twitter link-sharing.

The developers promise “major updates” in the coming weeks to add new features and functionality.
