GetJar has scored some serious Android gold medals over the past year or so. It was the first place where you could get your beak in to Angry Birds on an Android phone (for free) and first brought polygon-slashing classic Slice It! to Team Android as well.
More recently, GetJar got bragging rights on being the place where you could get Cut The Rope on your Android phone as well – again, for absolutely nothing.
Now there’s GetJar Gold; a one-stop shop full of premium Android apps and games like SwiftKey X, Backbreaker, Pocket Legends and more. Almost unbelievably, everything here is going for free. How amazing is this?
What’s more is that the GetJar Gold page will be updating once a week, a bit like the ‘App of the Day’ thing in the Amazon Appstore. Except that GetJar Gold actually works in the UK, unlike the Appstore which is currently US-only.
GetJar Gold is literally a gold mine; you get some seriously great apps like TuneIn Radio Pro and games like The Moron Test for nowt. Hit up the link at the bottom of this article or simply go to m.getjar.com/gold from your Android phone.
You’ll need to have ‘Unknown Sources’ checked in your phone’s settings as well in order to install anything outside the Market.
