Gmail Priority Inbox arrives for Android 2.2 phones, automatically prioritises your emails

Gmail Priority Inbox, a neat feature of the desktop version of Gmail has just been pushed out to the app for Android 2.2 phones.

Gmail automatically sorts the wheat from the chaff for you, prioritising emails based of which ones you read the most. Priority emails can either be viewed in a separate inbox (tap Menu > Go To Labels) or in your standard inbox, identifiable by a yellow arrow tag.

You can also manually prioritise messages by going into an email, tapping Menu > Change Labels and checking the Priority box.

The layout of the composer in Gmail has also been improved, with a new drop down that allows you to reply, reply to all or forward a message with greater ease.
