If you weren’t one of the lucky ones to pick up the already highly affordable Kindle, Amazon UK are knocking £10 off the price starting from today.
We got our hands on the 4th-generation classic Kindle way back in late 2011 and it wowed us with its compact design and lightweight form factor. Back then it was on offer for a snip under £100, boasting a weight of just 170g and a simplified set of hardware controls, sans physical keyboard.
Bearing in mind you have to fork out a little extra cash to pick up a 3G Kindle, this WiFi-only model delivers two days of solid readability, comes with access to Amazon’s vast Kindle Book store and a rudimentary web browser, handy for checking the weather, emails and news headlines.
