Want more hardcore console gaming goodness on your iPad? Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has made the leap to HD for Apple’s tablet.
The game is out today for £5.99, and boasts souped-up graphics compared to its well-received iPhone version. Publisher Rockstar promises “enhanced graphics, higher polygon count vehicle and building models, and enhanced lighting and explosion effects” – all at 1,024×768 resolution.
The controls have also been tweaked, with multiple options to ensure you can play the game on the larger display in whatever way is most comfortable.
One thing we wonder is whether people will shell out a second time for GTA: Chinatown Wars on iPad if they already own the iPhone version. Indeed, anyone who bought the DS or PSP versions before that could be paying for a third time – and the storyline is still the same.
Even so, GTA and iPad are a mouth-watering combination.
